Xtraordinary voting day

I didn't really have to jump into the bushes to vote today.

As well as voting in the local election there was also a referendum vote as to whether Bradford should have directly elected mayor.

Always strikes me as odd that on a ballot paper you mark your preferred choice with an X but use a tick on other forms.

But there again lots of things strike me as odd - myself included!
