They're back!!!!!

The tall ships are back for their annual visit to Coos Bay!! They are so awesome!! They just arrived today and will be tied up on the Coos Bay boardwalk for a couple weeks. Then they will make their way back up the Oregon coast to the northern tip of Washington where I believe is their home town. I came across them last year just after we had started to get settled here. I have many photos from last year. One I even blipped when I first joined HERE!! This shows both ships with their sails full open! You will be seeing more photos of these beauties while they are here!!! The one above is the Hawaiian Chieftain and here is the Lady Washington. No sails but still pretty cool. There is some neat history which I will add as I blip them the next couple weeks. One was even in the first Pirate of the Caribbean movie. They give tours of the ships and even have people aboard when they go out into the bay and do mock cannon battles. Pretty fun!! More to come......
You know what irks me???? When I'm taking photos throughout the day only to find out later that I didn't adjust the ISO I had changed for the low light the night before :( I have got to be better about checking that!!!!

I am very tired. Going to go have some dinner while watching American Idol. Thank you so very much for the comments on my Stanley photo yesterday. You will be seeing more of him, I'm sure! :)
