A Different Dog

Taking a break from doggy daycare shots, I turned the camera's focus back to the gardens. Here is the newly-planted Dogwood doing just lovely.

Thanks for the words of advice & understanding over my concerns about the other newcomer (the 4-legged one). I am doing better with getting Ella to sit & be calm before we go outside, & I'm insisting she heel until I release the leash. Toughening up on that front, though I've been firm with her jumping & being crazy inside. I've never had a dog needing this level of training, so I guess I just need the confidence boost & reminder that it's going to take time & patience (& accept that there are going to be low points). I also sent a post out the setter rescue newsgroup. The camaraderie between pet owners out there is universally comforting!
