In The Occupied Territory

Flying horses

Well only one flying horse situated on the entrance to Rosemount Square.
Initiated by City Architects Department 1937, scheme completed by Leo Durnin 1945-1946 , a circular block with an enclosed garden... well garden is not the right description of it now. It is a play area.
Over the years it became rundown a bit, although the strret view is still something to behold, the inner circle leaves a fair bit to be desired.
Several years ago the council decided to block off the verandas of each flat with, well goodness knows what, plastic or some other solid material, to stop the pigeons going in.
Probably works, but is pretty damn ugly.
A good dose of post production on this photo, obviously, using several camera apps.
