Spoot Lights

First you get a jam jar, then some razor clam shells (locally known as spoots), a length of twine and a bit of glue. Stick the shells round the jar with the glue and wrap the twine round. Put tea lights in them, and you have some very atmospheric lighting for inside or out.

Mike has made some wire lifters for them, to make it easier to light and replace the tea lights and less likely to burn your fingers! They are damn cunning, these postmen!
