Over the Edge

For vertigo GO LARGE.

On Sunday I blipped one of the cascades in my stream, engorged and torrenting after the substantial rain we'd had over most of last weekend and nearly all weekend.
After the fabulous weather of yesterday I woke this morning to find ... yes, you've guessed it ... more rain. Only drizzle thankfully, but rain nevertheless. Aaargh! It thankfully fizzled out by late lunchtime, but it was still damp, cold, grey and gloomy - not the weather any self-respecting Shield-bug would go out in. So my planned hunt for another one to get a decent blip of today, after my dismal attempts in the wind yesterday, were thwarted. Maybe tomorrow .....

When I fed Tom tonight I went to have a look at the stream - what a difference 48 hours had made! Yesterday obviously played a major part in that. So I decided to blip the same cascade as it now looks - and even managed to take this shot standing IN the stream just above the cascade, looking over the edge - something which would have been unthinkable on Sunday!
