The journey continues...

Colombia :)

We finished painting the school today...at last! We had more helpers today though as a few of the pupils came to help including Yeferson with his tiny paintbrush who's only 4. There were also 2 new German volunteers and a couple who stumbled across the school. We finished a little later than usual and headed for lunch in the same neighbourhood which was a standard Colombian tasty lunch of chicken/beef, rice, platains, beans and salad. I still can't get over how cheap it is!

Then it was onwards to Oasis without Oscar and hoping that Lucy, a longterm volunteer would meet us there. Thankfully she did and took the older ones for their lesson whilst Sarah and I tried to keep the younger ones under control and learn something at the same time. It was definitely crazier than usual cause the kids don't really behave the same when Oscar isn't there and we were all glad when it was time to go home!

In the evening I went to the cinema with the german and dutch girls from the hostel to see titanic. It was so so good! I actually really noticed the 3D in it and didn't realise how long it has been since I watched the movie but this definitely made the whole experience even better. Afterwards I was so sleepy that I fell asleep almost as soon as I got back to the hostel. It was a good wee night!
