Roll With It

Surfing On The South Coast

It has certainly been a day; throughout the night the wind howled and the rain pounded, more like November than the end of April.
Up relatively early for a Sunday, my last two 'birthday' eggs boiled for breakfast. Today is my eldest son Barry's birthday, it is also my late mother-in-law Hanna's.
Our day revolved around the Cornwall Hospice Memorial Service at Truro Cathedral in the afternoon. We all found it to be an emotional experience as did the majority of the congregation.
Home for a roast dinner then evening in front of the TV, children early to bed ready for early start to the week. I'm back to work after two weeks off, no driving so a walk in and out, Clare is on placement in Hayle an hours drive away so the next ten weeks will be 'taxing'.
Anyway back to the heading of the blip, the south Cornish coast is normally the sheltered coast but as the photo shows, good swell running so plenty of people in the water including paddle boarders. That could be the next item on my wish list, after my shed, BBQ, garden table, Apple I-mac and new kitchen!!
