Roll With It

What The Week-Ends Are For

First up this morning, followed by Clare and then sometime later by Joshua then Samantha. Cooked breakfast consisting of two of my birthday eggs boiled with toast.
We then shipped out more junk goodies to the charity shop(s), quick weekly shop then home.
We took the dogs for a long overdue walk, today it was around the castle moat, they seemed to enjoy it, no longer in their prime they are more content to trot than sprint.
Home for the afternoon to watch the army v NAVY rugby match on Sky, the army won 48-9 and the match was as one sided as the score suggests. The commentators list a whole raft of reasons; the army have 250,000 men the Navy 35,000, the army have 5,000 Fijians/Samoans the Navy 200, the army have 11 Premiership/Championship players, the Navy 5 but they miss the point. It's about the day, last year the army were red hot favourites but lost in the last five minutes.
A quiet night in, the children picked a James Bond DVD and we had cheese & biscuits and thought of our friends who travelled north today to be with family.
