Sunday: Sunny Side Streets

This city is so quiet on Sundays - add to that the afternoon heat and the whole place has a distinctly sleepy feel to it.  There is hardly anyone on the streets, parking, unlike in the week, is a doddle - it feels like a day of rest should feel.

I took a little wander around the National Archives building (outside, not inside - it's not open today) and started taking some pictures there.  I then got completely side-tracked, however, by the lovely buildings in the side streets.  Several had open windows, and you could hear the gentle murmur of voices and clanking of dishes.

On another note, I had had a great Skype morning, chatting to my Steve, who is currently working in Bangkok.  I also chatted to my pal, Kuifje, who had to ask me to turn the webcam off as the sight of my excessively short hair was apparently just too distressing!
