Chickadee and Apple Blossoms
I decided to take a walk up our road this afternoon. I don't often walk up the road, but I was feeling too cooped up...some sun shining outside was calling out to me!
I walked quite a way when I came to an area that has a lot of brush. I stopped and listened, knowing that birds generally love this type of environment, It wasn't long before I heard the familiar chick-s-dee-dee-dee coming from a somewhat dense area.
As I stood watching, little Chickadees flitting back and forth in the brush, several suddenly swooped up and flew to the other side of the road. I had been noticing the pretty blushing pink buds on the wild apple trees and I was thrilled when I spotted the birds sitting on the branches, pecking at the buds!
With fantastic lighting, blue skies, and the pink buds, the scene was set for great photo ops! I had a hard time deciding today. While the Chickadees were so pretty, I also spotted a couple of Canada Geese with a single gosling.
I finally settled for the Chickadee....I just love the colors in this photo.....
