Lime(STONE) kilns

Limestone was extracted from under Castle Hill in Dudley, brought via the canal to this location, where the kilns were use to extract the lime.

Actually my main idea for the day was a bottle of Stone's Ginger Wine, backlit, and I had bought a bottle and put it in the studio ready to shoot it. However, in the morning I went out and took some other shots of stone (not backlit, as the light here has been very grey all day, no sunshine), and this turned out to be fortunate, as another blipper has shot precisely what I had in mind for the wine, though a better version than I would have managed. So here is my alternative shot for the day.

Olympus E-M5, 12-50mm (as featured yesterday). Incidentally, while at today's location I shot some sweets too, which would have done for yesterday, so maybe that was the third mishap.
