Under Oldham Road

I have been experimenting with microstock photography websites, to see whether I can make some money out of my huge collection of digital photographs. I have so far registered with four sites and overnight was notified of my first acceptances, which is very exciting. I spent all morning struggling with the vagaries of the sites' entirely different systems and procedures. Some trial and much error.

This afternoon, I needed some fresh air, so I had a two hour walk along the Rochdale Canal. As I walked through the dark, narrow tunnel under Oldham Road I came upon this scene. A group of local ladies and gentlemen of leisure were enjoying the sunshine, refreshed by cans of lager and cider. They were hilariously attempting to assist a narrowboat to navigate its way round an awkward bend into a lock.
