Today's the day ............................. to get a Christmas present

It was described as a baroque extravaganza of exotica and virtuosity starring Scotland's favourite violinist - and Rob had given us tickets for the concert tonight in the Usher Hall as a Christmas present.

Nicola Benedetti gave a faultless performance as the soloist with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Christian Curnyn. The programme included works by Vivaldi, Gluck and Rameau - the highlight being Vivaldi's Four Seasons as the second half.

A wonderful evening and well worth the wait ...................................
