On the Buses

It had been lightly raining for most of the morning and I was on my way back from walking my dog Titus when I saw this familiar sight on Green Lanes.

A London bus had broken down and disgorged its passengers onto the pavement. They huddled under the trees and stared hard up the road willing, praying, hoping for a replacement bus to rescue them.

An outstretched hand shows that help was not far away.
