The Hermon Friendship Cake

Well it took 10 days to stir it and top it up with milk, sugar and flour, watch it expand, and then divide the bubbling sour dough into 4 portions to share with friends.
The cake you see in the photo, is one of two, the other is the size of an 8 inch circular sponge cake. We'll be eating it for ages but it is delicious.
It tastes of apples and cinnamon and currants.
The recipe includes alot of sugar and as I go to Slimming World I should not indulge in too much!
