the Howe of the Mearns

Funerals bring relief and resolve and closure, so I slept much better. It was still wet in Aberdeen but despite that Jean and I went out to Drum for a wander round the Garden Centre and food. Turns out it is the meeting place for retired headies, a place fro Jean to avoid on a Monday then!

I'd texted Dave in the morning, but of course no reply till the evening, apparently he has his own plan he wants to follow. Hey ho.

So back south, alone, on the train, that had coffee this time and didn't stop at any stations in Fife, but I missed Fife, I slept. And when I got back the sun was shining in Edinburgh, sun and blue skies whereas up north it was heavy rain and standing water in the fields, and more to come.

Since I've been back I've done very little.

Back to normal tomorrow.
