That was exciting!
When I got home I decided to go adventuring exploring. According to the Macmillan dictionary 'to adventure' is not a verb but in Merriam Webster it is. As Macmillan is my go to dictionary (I love it and encourage all my students to use it) I will go with what it says.
Anyway first I went down to the park and tried to get some bird shots. Then I walked across the field next to the estate for what I can't believe was the first time. I took some shots of the big clouds and stuff, then there were a few spots of rain and then the wind started to blow. By the time I got back the trees were half bent over, however, luckily the rain held off until I got home. I'm loving the fact I'm giving myself time to play with my camera.
School was incredibly busy today especially as I fell asleep last night while marking so had extra to do in my free period. I also had a department meeting which I didn't know about so that took 1.5 hours this afternoon. It was better than usual though because they did most of it in English which made a nice change so I could relax a bit and we sat outside. After that I had 3 lessons, went for my second 25 minute run and came home.
A couple of amusing things happened today the first involved a dirty joke I made about what the phrase a generous mouth means. The other was when a student asked me whether I had been drinking as when I was standing on tippy toes to reach the top of the board I fell over. Well done, clumsy me!
Oh and surprise visit from Palika, maybe all in all it wasn't such a bad day.
