The Living Years

Double Free, Paradise

I woke up this morning full of the joys of spring, enjoyed coffee in the sunshine and my day has continued like that so far, lucky me.

My first 2 lessons were great, comparatives and passives. Then I had a double free so took my work and camera down to the Japanese garden.

The garden was created by students, teachers and staff the year before I arrived and is truly idyllic. There are 4 gazeboes, flowers, lawns, benches and the pond with goldfish and carp. I spent my time watching the fish, birds washing/drinking, bees, 2 cats, 2 frogs, taking photos and amazingly getting some work done. As a school we are very privileged to have such beautiful school grounds which the maintenance staff take such good care of.

I had 2 more lessons, lunch, got ready for tomorrow and came home. One of the PE teachers was unavailable, so as I live next to the swimming pool I was asked to walk a class there. I felt a bit like the Pied Piper but they all got there safely. Had a nice chat with my colleague's very sweet little girl who was having play time while I made sure all of the students went inside and didn't slink off home.

The weather has turned grey now but I hope this evening will be just as nice as today.
Oh and the bridge may look very bright but I haven't done anything to this photo.
