Abandoned
Built in 1906 it is the Andrew Gibson Home for Seamen's Widows and donated for the purpose by a Liverpool shipping magnate and It cost £25.000 to build.
It is still owned by the charity who applied for planning permission in 2009 to turn it into apartments and build bungalows on the land overlooking the river but it was not granted due to the opposition of neighbours over the bungalows. The building is also full of asbestos which would be a very costly job to remove. I wish I had a spare couple of million.
I have loved this building and wondered what would become of it for many years, I think when I have five mins I might get an update on it from my local councillor.
Christopher went straight from school to the respite centre tonight, he has had a lovely time and the staff where really pleased with him.
Rach went to gymnastics and threw up on the gym floor, she's now in bed watching a DVD.
I took My pics today when I went on a long walk along the front at New Brighton. I walked for 1.5 hrs at a decent speed and only stopped a few times to take some pics on my phone.
Had a good session in circuit last night there's a lot more cardio in it now so it's getting harder.
