Scrambled or fried?

Neither I hope!

Spotted this beautiful nest on the way back from the garden centre on our bikes.

I did want to get one with the mama coot sitting proudly on top, but I managed to frighten her away somewhat whilst I was trying to get closer.

I quickly took this and then backed off, so that she could go back and be mama bird. She tweeted at me in disgust and made her way back after a little swim about. They must get terrible cramp sitting on those eggs all the time!
