Clun

Another interesting South Shropshire town is Clun, and not just for its name. The natives were mostly very friendly, apart from the woman who harangued me for daring to enter the free car park via the exit. If that is how she reacts to an unintentional driving misdemeanour, goodness knows how she would cope with a real crime.

A brisk but short walk in the rain lead to the ruined Clun Castle, from which there is this view of the small, irregular shaped, hill top Clun Bowling Club.

But just before returning to the car I came across today's blip, a grit box to which someone has added the inevitable synonym. Creative folk, these Salopians.
