Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Lovely Color

This isn't a Lavender plant; I'm not sure what it is, but I like the color. While in the grocery store earlier this evening, I saw the display of little potted plants (the store must be stocking-up for Mother's Day, which is Sunday, May 13th here in the U.S.). I wanted to purchase it, but I didn't have the time to carefully read the instructions. If it is an indoor plant, I don't want it. Outdoor plants do so much better for us than those meant to be indoors.

The two of us had a wonderful leisurely day planned -- no required work, no scheduled anything. I had spruced the patio and had given the outside table a clean wipe; taken my laptop, camera, and external hard drive out there to set-up shop for the afternoon. I planned to work on making a photo book for our five-year-old grandson Tristan. Then the phone rang.

The phone announced that we were about to have a visit. It was a long visit and the news was not pleasant. It wasn't a good afternoon. I really believe the cliche, "If you can't say anything good, then don't say anything at all." So I'm just going to stop here because I don't think I can say anything good. If you'd like to say a few choice words on my behalf, please do.

Maybe some other time I'll be able to write about the news that arrived this afternoon and its impact, but not now.

Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol

P.S. I did learn while "googling" for lavender that in the state of Washington, the community of Sequim has its 16th Annual Lavender Festival Weekend? July 20, 21 & 22 2012. Right about now a visit to Sequim and Port Townsend sounds lovely.
