Spring!

I do believe our Spring weather is about to warm up. Yippee!! It was kind of gray and overcast this morning. I again stayed home for a bit having to go through boxes looking for papers. I didn't find the papers that were needed but guess what??? I found the ones I was looking for LAST time I had to go searching for tax stuff!! :) Maybe next time I will find the one I was looking for today.

The weather started clearing up so I grabbed my camera and went walking around the garden. The shot I posted shows how green it's getting and our two bridges. The red one is over a pool where a waterfall feature comes down into it. It is such a calming sound. You can see another bridge over farther. Not sure what it's purpose is. :) There is one of many garden lights, some of the blossoms and blooms that are starting to explode. I am hoping the weekend of sunshine predicted will help all the flowers!! I had seen earlier, out the window, a hummingbird dashing about. I went over to where I see them and waited. Didn't see it again. As I was walking back towards the house a little chickadee starting chirping right near me so I started snapping photos of her. I finally realized I think I was too close to her nest?? Hence, all the chirping. I turned around and see someone had stopped by for lunch! I was torn between watching them, photographing them and shooing them away for eating my Japanese Maples!! I chose all of the above. Caught one snacking on my climbing roses. Awww backyard nature.
We had a busy day at the store today. I even had a visit from inspiredesigns and her adorable boys!! Her hubby was in shopping and we got to visit for a bit. Nice surprise! She is all set to go to our blip meet this weekend up at Wooden Shoe Tulip farm in Woodburn. I was hoping to make it up there but it's not looking good. Hoping for a last minute reprieve of my weekend activities. My husband, Glenn(he does have a name!) worked the local home show this evening and his back is paying for it so it looks like I will have to step in for tomorrows shift.

Oh, a happy note. Our sons house he was renting with others up at school was broken into a couple months ago. He got quite a few things stolen. I think I mentioned it on here. A laptop, brand new shoes, camera...and his electric guitar. He has been really bummed about the guitar. He got it for his 14th birthday and still loved playing it. Well, he found it about a month ago in a local music shop. He has been working on getting it back and finally, yesterday, the police called and said they were bringing it over! He is overjoyed! As are we.

Happy Friday!
