Helter-skelter

By Juli

Busy day!

Back to sewing classes today. This next set of sessions is based on a '50's Retro' theme, in honour of the upcoming Diamond Jubilee. I was very impressed with the examples of what we'll be making... pretty sure mine won't be anywhere near as good but I'm also pretty sure it'll be great fun anyway! I'm learning so much and I can't wait to get a machine of my own so I can teach my kids.

Then off to the supermarket, closely followed by the garden centre, where I amazed the aquatic staff with my in-depth knowledge of water fleas. I could tell they were most impressed... or possibly not! When I got home I set up my 'Pilot Experiment', which basically will consist of my finding out that I lack the skills and equipment to do anything I planned. The next couple of weeks will no doubt be a bit fraught as already I've realised that it's not as straightforward as I'd hoped. I've got a lot of work to do on my methods and project plan, have a ton of research to do and have to put it all in an assignment asap. And I need to go and pick up a curry soon!

Anyway, not much time for blipping today despite being here, there and everywhere but I did manage to get this shot while stuck in traffic outside East Grinstead fire station. Not a great shot but looks a bit clearer in 'large'.
