The Way of Colour

You rang sir ...

Quite grey and misty today, with showers in the morning.
Maeve the deerhound and I managed our routine walk (we must do another route soon for a change!) but it wasn't the greatest day for taking pics. I did find the red tractor right on the beach but it looked rather old and sad.

Drama as we were about to leave and walk back across the bridge over the railway line though! We were looking at the sea from the little car park when we noticed one of the Fishermen (who we had said hello to along by the tractors) run down to the waters edge, and plunge right into the sea!
He grabbed a rowing boat which was washing upside down against the shoreline and turned it upright with a bit of a struggle. The boat definitely wasn't there when Maeve and I were looking at the tractor on the beach. It is nowhere to be seen in my photos of the sad red tractor by the surf.
To my great surprise another man emerged from under the boat!
I can only assume his boat capsized when he got into the surf and he got stuck underneath. His friend must have seen it happen and rushed to his aid, thankfully in time. Well, without ado, up he popped and sprang into action himself and the two dragged the boat out of the surf and up the beach.

Oh ... before I forget. The little waiter stands in the porch of one of the cottages at Westhaven. Very handy for today's 200th blip :-)
