If you go down to the (Lego) woods today.....

Who knows what you might find..... a couple of roundheads on horseback maybe? A guy with a camera wearing a retro football shirt and bad toupe? Or a chav and his girlfriend looking for her contact lens in some long grass behind a tree?

I have a feeling my Lego man with a camera might feature in a few blips, mainly because it's easy and quick. I might get bored quite quickly though.

I made a grave error last night. I said the guy's shirt was Crystal Palace from around 1981: it isn't. Palace had a red diaganol stripe across the front. In reality few teams have ever combined red, blue and white so blatantly, bar a couple of Spanish sides. So I guess this could be Athletico Madrid or Real Sociedad. Maybe it's just a guy from an 80's Lego set wearing a fashionable jumper. I don't know. Perhaps I'm thinking about it too much.

I'm quite proud tonight because I've not turned my X Box on. I've blipped (now) and watched Chelsea v Barcelona. My old man and my bro are both Chelsea fans so I'm right behind them, plus they're English and obviously their opponents are not. 1-0 to the Blues at the moment, and if it were to stay the same (or even draw) it would be a big achievement for Chelsea. It's a good night for English football.

In other (football) news Lincoln have today agreed in principle to employ David Holdsworth as our manager. I'm quite pleased, DH has put a decent side together with a low budget under very difficult circumstances, and despite us inevitably finishing in our lowest position EVER this season I'm actually mildly optimistic for two reasons.

1: In Tom Miller, Alan Power, Danny Lloyd and Jefferson Louis we appear to have the nucleus of a hard working team. If D can spend a little in the summer and attract another six players of this ilk then we'd have a squad that could compete adequately at this level.

2: We can't do any fucking worse than the last two years.
