Barbecue and Beer
It was haircut day again for Cynthia and me. As I mentioned in a previous blip, it's a regular date for us, but C had promised to babysit for a friend this evening, so we had to forgo the usual side trip to Trader Joe's.
There was something else that was different today. Instead of exploring the aisles of Hardware Sales when it was C's turn in the chair, I took a short walk up the street to the new brewpub, Kulshan Brewing Co. They've only been open a couple of weeks, but they've been so busy that they had run out of IPA and Pale Ale. I made do with the Cascadian Dark Ale -- I'm adaptable.
There's no food served in the pub, but customers are encouraged to bring their own, or buy it at the mobile food stand in the parking lot. It's not the same one every day -- today it was Keith and Vicki's Roll'n Smoke Barbecue and Catering. I didn't sample the food, but it smelled delicious, and I'll go back and try it sometime.
In case you're wondering, the thin streaks in the photo are rain drops. I was happy to see the rain, and even happier that it didn't start until after I'd planted four Nandina shrubs.
