Susie goes swimming

Susie Parr is Martin's wife and an enthusiastic sea bather. She gave us a talk in the afternoon about the history of bathing then promptly stripped down to her cossie in the living room, opened the French windows and led us down to the beach.

A great day for photography today. First Jem Southam took us to Whale Chine to watch him photographing one of his extraordinary landscapes on a 10 x 8" plate camera. Then to Brighstone Holiday Camp for nostalgic snappery with Martin, followed by lunch.

We then dropped into an agricultural show before arriving back to hear Susie, Jem and Martin talking some more about their work.
