Beech tree ballet

Went in search of some new leaves in this beech wood this morning. There were some: hawthorn, horse chestnut, sycamore and lots of dogs' mercury growing underneath. But very few beech leaves so far.

If all mornings were as beautiful as this one..

However, it was the still bare beeches that provided the strongest shapes, so the leaves will have to wait for another day. To me, with a little inversion, they seemed to be dancing.
