I know nothing ......
.... about gardening. I just go with things I like and plant them wherever then hope for the best.
It's a method that seems to work for me but I have to force myself to work in this way. Spontaneity does not sit easily with me as I normally analyse and scrutinise everything for ages before making decisions.
Somethings however grow into disasters so I am continually moving shrubs from A to B.
Although I have been in my house for more than 26 years my garden has only evolved over the last 3 - 4 years since the boys have all flown the nest. When they were younger our garden tended to be more of a football pitch.
This morning was spent removing daffy bulbs that did not flower this year. This bed would usually be carpetted in yellow blooms but this year I had 11 flowers!
Is it because they have been in the ground for many years?
Is it down to weather conditions this year?
Should I 'chuck them away?
Should I transplant them elsewhere?
I know a lot of my blip pals out there are keen gardeners so I would welcome any advice.
I'm off to the garden centre - I've a few spaces to fill!
NB: The pottery toadstools are made by the students at Camphill Blair Drummond.
