Thank you for all the lovely birthday and get well messages of late. Turns out the cure for the flu is loads of birthday love from your friends and family, which I've had in abundance.. so am feeling loads better. However, I am still obviously not quite the full shilling yet. Woke up this morning to the awful dawning realisation that I didn't actually take a single photo AT ALL on Fri 13th, so there will be no blip. Alas. Alack. Fie.

An anvil of regret has been weighing me down all day (and a white wine hangover, the two were egging each other on). What was I thinking?

I suspect I was holding off to take a picture inside the cinema when at 23:00 me and my mates clambered into Cameo to watch the late night Ferris Bueller's day off screening. 80's secret guilty pleasure indulged to the fullest, with original scratchy film reels and everything. Nice to be viewing it with other people smurking and giggling along too.

Been in a little of a daze today, naturally. Jackie and my (very young!) aunty Louise came over from weege for the film so they stayed over and we all visited my sister Lis who is up with the twinnies. Got some lovely dribbly Gabby and Annabel hugs in the portrait gallery cafe. Also caught up with Sheen Masheen just back down from her hebridiean hols.

Got some amazing gifts and cards - am a little blown away to be honest. They'll make some good despo blips in future. I've learned my lesson!! Never again...
