The Black Isle is fairly brown at the moment...
On holiday today, so went for a wee cycle. This is part of the view from my regular cycle route to work. Plenty ploughing and planting going on just now. The large stand of trees (on the right) that are bursting into leaf, can be rather striking at times. Not sure what type of trees they are, other than not a local occurring variety. The "locals" reveal their leaves later!
Don't let the sunshine fool you, there was still some patches of snow at the roadside, and the temperature was only slightly above zero.
In the full sized version of this, and another similar photo, I discovered a distant Red Kite was soaring over the scene. If it's visible at all, it will probably just one or two dark pixels. So this is my first Red Kite photo!
