What Matters

Strange day today.

Late last night we heard the sad news that a friend of ours had died very suddenly and unexpectedly. When the kids were young there was quite a large group of us that always met up at kid's parties and bbq type events. There was always lots of fun and mayhem as there was usually in the region of a dozen kids and accompanying adults. As the kids got older we have all drifted apart as often is the case.

A wife now has three kids to bring up alone.

We went out for lunch and then went for a forest drive on the way home. I had gone up ahead to take some photos and when I turned around hubby and daughter were coming to meet me. The settings were wrong and it was taken very quickly but I felt I just had to snap the moment.
