A Writer's Life

Ste. Catherine Street

I live close to a main street, Ste.Catherine Street. When the neighborhood was built, around the turn of the 20th century, it was very vibrant, teeming with workers and white collars. There are I think 4 churches on the street immediately north of Ste. Catherine, which goes to prove just how many people lived around here. Today, though, it's a bit derelict. Along the very nice shops I have mentioned before, you get these abandoned (for rent signs tend to stay a long time, one of them has been there for at least 6 years) shops.
