Landform.....

....by Charles Jenks. This is at the front of the Modern Art Gallery, Edinburgh.

Went to the Tracey Emin exhibition today.

Found it quite uplifting and inspirational. It is an autobiographical art exhibition documenting her life story through drawings, sculptures, and short videos.

Most of her exhibition focuses on her childhood, her relationship with her twin brother, her sex life and her rape when she was 14 and the abortions she had. She is very frank and open about what she has gone through and doesn't feel ashamed or embarrassed by it.

It feels like everything that has happened to her she has documented it in her art, which may feel like a kind of therapy for her(well I'd like to think that it is what she feels).

She is an amazing person and I really admire her to go through all this but turn it into a positive thing in her life. I wonder what her art would be like if she hadn't suffered these things. I can't imagine.
