Spring Growth
Today I was looking around for some signs of spring in a land that is 365 days of summer. I found this growing in the bushes in front of the dorm. Looks like it will be a pumpkin or some other type of gourd to me. It was hidden among all the other foliage that never died during our "winter" when it cooled off to about 30*C/86*F.
I was explaining to my English class this week that in the States, many people are thinking about spring, which leads them to thinking of baby animals and sprouting plants. Here however, there is no such season as the plants grow and flower all year long, animals are born throughout all 12 months, and the weather changes from hot to really hot.
I really do like my home! :)
