Getting Things Done Day

For over a month now, I have been wanting to get my car washed properly. (It gets washed three times a week anyway but only on the outside.) However weeks of sandstorms leaving lots of dust hanging in the air have made it pointless.

Today I finally got it done. Just to explain... here in Dubai, a car wash doesn't just involve going through the machine which washes, cleans the undercarriage and puts a layer of wax before blow drying the water off. Once you are done with that, you drive to the Vacuum Bay where 4 men descend on your car, to give it a thorough wipe and clean on the inside too! This includes polishing the dashboard, vacuuming the interior and the boot and polishing the tyres! A study in teamwork on its own.

My car's the one on the left, not the Range Rover on the right! It's another world out here. (I won't mention what filling up with fuel is like or how much, or little, it costs here!)

A productive day all round just getting stuff done ready for a big day tomorrow with an ultra early start... sunrise service at 5:30am - yikes! Means a 4am wake up to get ready.
