Blue Macaw

We had the unexpected and very pleasant surprise of a lovely spring day today (the forecast was rain!). So we had a lovely time at Bickleigh Mill. Sadly, because of the drought, most of the water features were gone because the mill race and its associated streams are now completely dry but we still enjoyed walking through the grounds. It was warm enough that we were able to have a very nice lunch in the bistro's garden.

and the blip? The owners have a pair of Blue Macaws (one was camera-shy) which live in their rear garden. They are truly magnificent birds and my blip really doesn't do the vibrant colours justice.
