... of the statue of Ingóflur Arnarson, who was chosen to be the first settler of Iceland (874), but more about him later.
From left is the house Arnarhvoll, which was built in 1930 for government offices and has this wonderful door by Ríkarður Jónsson. The door is sometimes said to be a replica of this famous door, but that is not true.
In the middle is the new house of the supreme court and then the now named Culture House, last seen like that.
