Another Silo...
Husband and I took a different route to Canandaigua late this afternoon. We went up the opposite side of the lake, matter of fact.
As we were making our way northward, I called out for Husband to pull off the road. There, right next to the road was another silo covered in vines. This silo was so close to the road, I could not believe my good fortune!
After uploading the photo onto the computer, I decided the only good way to tone down the overly vivid colors was to convert to sepia! The sky was an intense blue, the barn yielded peeling red barn paint, and the grass is a ridiculously bright green. I cannot believe I am saying this, but all the vibrant colors in this photo worked against it....looking more like a page from a coloring book than a photo!
Living in grape growing country, I had assumed the vines growing on silos were grapevine, but now I am not so sure. Anyway, vines do add a little interest ro these old silos!
