Birthday Trip!

Today was my 59th birthday, and my hiking buddies and I took off for Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. Both my daughter and I were without our husbands for the trip, but we had Brody and Belle to accompany us.

The weather was perfect, the lodge was picturesque, the food was wonderful, the hiking was better than we imagined and the company was exceptional!

Here are my wonderful hiking companions at Lover's Leap. Beyond them to the left is Starved Rock. I plan to catch up more tomorrow, but for tonight I have to play wallyball!
