Stage 1 - Colour base

I often find that once I have an idea in my mind, it takes over my time, so having not really planned to start this illustration until after the weekend, I couldn't resist to get it underway, and before I knew it, early hours of the morning, I'd already spent 3 or 4 hours on it!

So here is the colour base. Bottle shape not perfect, but good enough I think. Need to do a few more tweaks, but the next stage will be to a colour wash to pull it all together to make it more seamless and then 'pencil' in the detail as a guide to over painting detail sections. (reality, it's not that much to be honest, mainly the label - but the bottle itself has some sculpturing on it that the photo is unable to pick with the lighting I used to shoot it, but is enough for me to work with).

Off to Cornwall for the weekend, friends' wedding, so will be absent from Blipfoto until the end of the Easter break...don't expect too much development until after it.
