Antwerp

A cold, grey day; M spent it indoors, reading and drinking cups of tea. I went for a touristy wander. I've been to Antwerp before, but usually at night and going to a gig, so this was my first opportunity to see the sights.

It's a beautiful place, typical North Sea port architecture, but so rich...huge numbers of storeys on the buildings, gilding and fine detailing everywhere and statuary up the wazoo! ;)

I'm not sure what this strapping, green young lady is supposed to represent...but she appears to be for hire =:^O
