4 tired feet & 1 big heart

After an astonishing buffet breakfast-breads, hams, cheeses, gravlax, salamis, pastries, bacon, eggs, cereals, fruit, smoothies- Alexander & I headed out to explore the city.

I think we must have walked for miles today, strolling up & down the streets! We walked along the waterfront, zig-zagged our tourist map & found the most amazing vintage shop too!

By the time we got back to the hotel, at 5pm, we were wiped out!
The hotel offered a complimentary evening buffet, so after we'd had a well-deserved nap, showered & outfit changed, and sampled the 2 liqueurs that Alexander had got me for my birthday, we tucked into the Norwegian fayre free of charge.

Heading out to the bright lights of Oslo, we racked up a handsome bill on a modest number of drinks- it certainly is an expensive city!

Between us both, we took so many photos throughout the day, it was really difficult to choose just one.

I decided on this, from outside Oslo Cathedral, a humble but poignant memorial for those who lost their lives at the hands of Anders Behring Breivik.
A thing of beauty born out of such atrocity & terror.
