Acer (Maple) Tree

I had an unexpected day off from looking after my grandchildren today as my daughter was ill over the weekend and because she works in a hospital she is not allowed to go to work for forty-eight hours afterwards.

I spent a lot of time in the garden today taking photographs and had planned to blip the Blackthorn, which is in flower opposite my home. This is often confused with Hawthorn, but where I live in the UK, the Hawthorn blossoms three or four weeks later than Blackthorn.

I changed my mind and decided that this shot of my Acer (Maple) tree, bursting into life made a better image, but the Blackthorn can be seen here if you are interested.
