Life List!
Oh my goodness! People search their whole lives to find various birds on a nest, recently I saw a hummingbird on her nest and thought that was the height of birding but I was mistaken. Today I was privileged and awed by the rarest sight of them all - The American Yellow Peep (two actually!) on their nests. You may be able to see the various colored eggs, I am not sure what that means.
Here is what the Aw-boo-don guide has to say: The American Yellow Peep is a ground nesting bird and usually is only found during the Lenten season. These small birds often build their nests side by side, two or three nests in a single location, to help protect themselves from predators.
My ankle is mostly better and I have tomorrow off so I should be back in shape by Tuesday.
Happy Blipping!
Update - I have just added this to the Peepshow2012 challenge. Any other willing to give this one a shot?
