Oaks Park
Here comes the sun!!!
We had real honest to goodness, short-sleeve, sun-glass-wearing, driving-with-the-windows-open sunshine today and I did not have to work.
I spent the day in three of my favorite spots, Oaks Park, Oaks Bottom Wetlands and the Rhododendron Gardens. I took well over 100 pictures, but I also just basking in the vitamin D. I could sense my mood and attitude shifting as the day progressed. I was hard pressed to choose between this and a scrub jay that was flirting with me, but I went with this sign of summer.
Hey Portland Blippers: Tomorrow (Saturday) is the Daffodil, Rhododendron and bonsai show at the Rhododendron Garden Pavilion. It is open from 9am to 4pm and is free with the price of park admission. They were setting up today and there were some varieties of Daffodils and jonquils I have nver seen.
I hope we get another day like this, it was amazing!
