Wrestlemania Sunday

It's that time of the year again - Wrestlemania!!

It's always the highlight of wrestling calendar and it's been 2 years since I was in Phoenix for Wrestlemania 26.

Ever since I was a kid I've enjoyed the over the top antics of the wrestling world and I've been fortunate to go to the 'superbowl of sports entertainment' twice (my first time was Wrestlemania 19 in Seattle)

This will be the first time in about 5 years I won't have been able to watch it live as I have an early start for work in the morning - and I am totally gutted.

The main event is John Cena vs The Rock and I'd love to see the Rock win but something makes me think the current poster boy Cena will get the result.

Back when this photo was taken the match people wanted to see was the HBK Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker - career vs Streak match - The Undertaker won leading to HBK retiring - it was an epic match.

My plan is to take my girlfriend Gemma to New York next year - and although she doesn't know it - Wrestlemania is on there - maybe I could plan the trip to be there when it's on! :)

Today's been another busy one - after last nights 3am finish I was up at 10 to head to memorabilia at the NEC - it's a collectors show full of items from comics to film stuff. I didn't spend a penny but it was nice to have a stroll round.

From there I headed over to Gemma's and we saw the film Contraband which is worth a watch if you get the chance.

On the way to the cinema we drove down broad street and saw a group of lads dressed up as The Million Dollar Man, Bret the hitman Hart, Ric Flair and the Big Bossman - clearly on their way to a Wrestlemania party - brilliant!

Bed time now - for those of you watching 'mania' enjoy - I will have to wait all day before I see it.
