Red Dykes
I hadn't intended another ruin blip today. I arrived at Cragg Vale just as this Palm Sunday procession was taking place. I couldn't get my camera out quickly enough to catch the splendid blue robes of what I assume was the choir.
I then walked up the hill, to try to visit the spectacular Withens Clough Reservoir. However, it was closed to public access. But a detour took me to the far side of the Reservoir and an unexpected view of a Wuthering Heights like ruin, the abandoned Red Dykes farmhouse.
I had a great half hour up there assembling many potential blips, such as this romantic distant view, this lichen on a window frame, and these windows through a window.
Walking back to my car I passed these Canada Geese at the Reservoir, then lower down this splendid house and finally another view of the Church.
